the value of your used car!

The value of your used car has been seriously affected by the price of dealers/traders used cars for sale.

The dealers/traders used cars are now priced at an all time low, there is therefore no deal to be had on the price of the car that you are interested in buying, the great deal is presented right there in front of you, it is the screen price.

Believe me my prices are so keen at the moment that I cannot deviate from those advertised.

You the customer must now come to the table with your car at a realistic price as ours are rock bottom, therefore we bought at a low price and are selling at a very small margin.

The current crisis has not made your car worth more and my car worth less, it has just brought the difference to change figure down considerably!

That is then the figure that you should now be focusing on, exactly how much you have to draw out of your bank to make up the difference between what your current used car is worth.

Forget what you wanted for your car, the figure that you would have liked previously and that which it is now worth are worlds apart, all you are doing when you adopt this thoroughly unrealistic manner is causing a massive Void that cannot be bridged!

People have brought the following cars in for part exchange, 1) bmw wanted £4500 for a car that is worth £2200, 2) a scenic wanted £1,000 worth £300, 3) peugeot wanted £1750, worth £1000, 4) focus wanted £1900 worth £1050, 5) galaxy wanted £2200 worth £1100 6) laguna wanted £1000 worth £350.

This kind of money will not even be made selling privately let alone as a part exchange, my only route to get money back on these cars is via the auction, the last time I went to sell three of mine the cars outnumbered the bidders by about four to one, I sold one of mine and took a loss.

Sorry to get out of my tree on this subject but half of my December has been wasted by peoples wildy over inflated view on their cars worth.

To the people that do agree on a price I always give them a week or so to try to sell their car privately, the part exchange is never a deal breaker for me; it is a service that I offer to help the transaction run smoothly, look on it as a fall back price should you be unsuccessful in moving it on yourself.

My Thanks to the 19 people that did buy cars from me in December including the two that came in today, Laura and Ian from Henley and Pauline and George from Stratford upon Avon, hope you all got home safely, see you on the 31st.

nearly new year, nearly new car, used car

Another new year, another new car, well that's normally when people change their old jalopy.

Instaed of queueing outside Next or River Island at 05:00am come and see me at any time of the day, so long as it's daylight and I will sell you your next bargain priced used car.

When I used to work at Dealerships for other people selling their used cars I used to have hit more than half of my target between the 27th December to the 6th January as there was a buying frenzy.

This was probably fuelled by the boredom of being closeted with you nearest and dearest for too long, most people just go out for a walk, but if you walked into our showrooms then you fell victim to us as prey.

Victims in more sense than one as when I worked at Dealers we used to make as much money as possible from the available customers.

Now I work for myself and only worry about covering my bills and a modest wage I can offer maximum value for minimum money.

The message is come to see me if you want a bargain and want also to keep some of that hard earned money for yorself.

used cars tell your friends

Hi Well the reason for todays heading is that I have had two dealers calling me asking if they can buy my cars.

Now they won't sell them for the same price that I am, this means that the people that are looking with them probably haven't got a computer!

I have had a suprisingly busy few days, I have had quite a few new arrivals this week and the co-ordination of servicing, MOT's Valeting, meeting the RAC Warranty rep, etc, certainly takes its toll on you, I normally have Wednesday off but not this week.

I have a few people on the go with hard to find cars, patience and they will come up.

I am an eternal optimist, well you have to be in any used car sales operation, I firmly believe that the used car market has much pent up demand due to the shortage of buyers during the last 6-9 months.

As the New Year dawns we will have a rush of needy and wanting buyers on the phones, I don't think that it will be on a par with the last days of Woolworths, but they will all be looking for a deal and I'm the man for that!

Internet used car sales, if you think about it any business that survives purely on internet business must be doing great deals because they are up against such massive competition that they wouldn't last a month without their savvy customers..

Incidentally, Daimler Chrysler must be Gutted that I have the Domain Name, "acar2go" as they are just about to launch a, hire by the hour car system in Europe and the UK, they have called it "car2go" I was expecting a call and a cash offer to stand down and let them have my Domain name, Sorry Big Boys, I thought of it first and it's mine..

used cars for Christmas Dinner.

I would like to Thank Ian and Laura for the expected phone call today and for their custom.

I would also like to Thank them for the comments on what a good deal they realised they were getting, they compared me to a Dealer that was trying to sell a much older and more basic model for a lot more than my car!

You did confirm with me more than once what the price of my car was, realising I'm sure that you had found a great used car deal.

As per the title of my blog today, if the dealers don't get off the Greedy Wagon and come to the Party on used car prices, then they will indeed be having their cars around the table for Christmas.

Please don't do it, I am having it away and so are my customers, with every car that I sell, I am turning another page in the story that is, the buying pattern of my customers and their family, friends and colleagues.

I offer my existing used car sales customers a £100 referral cheque for sending their people to me, I won't tell you how much I have spent in this way, but I would need more than one hand to count them.

Buying a used car from me or somebody else

Hello again and welcome to another edition of acar2go.

I had a mediocre weekend of car sales, with only two of my four appointments turning up, now I know that it was Tayters on Saturday but if your not going to turn up, the courtesy of a phone call would be polite!

This comment is only directed at the Coventry man, Guess I won't be sending one of my cars to Coventry after all, which is good because since the plants died it's been nice having them around for the company.

Imagine if you made an appointment with me and I didn't turn up! or the car that you made an appointment to see was dirty because I couldn't be bothered to clean it!

I was always taught that we are, "Ladies and Gentlemen Serving Ladies and Gentlemen".

And by doing to him as in similar cases you would wish he would do to you, or in modern English, treat others as you would like to be treated yourself, remember you Reap what you Sow!

I would like to Thank Matt and Steve for turning up and also to Ian for the polite text message and for turning up today with his wife Laura and Children, I look forward to the phone call tomorrow.

Matt, I know that we didn't have a deal because of the lack of Isofix but it was nice to have met you anyway, I hope that you are happy with the way in which I still tried to help you with some helpful advice and information, Good luck with your Honda.

Here we are in the depths of the Season of Goodwill, I watched Miracle on 34th Street with my kids at the weekend, when I heard Chris Kringle giving out details of other stores that stocked toys that they didn't have it tickled me;

I always watch other dealers stock and am constantly giving out phone numbers and addresses for other used cars that I don't have or have already sold, remember you reap what you sow, I believe in Karma.

Just a brief note about used car warranties, when you go into a Dealership you expect them to have your leg up but not your pants down too; we used to charge £365 for a one year used car Warranty and for two years it was £499, now we're all entitled to make a living but let's not take the P*"s.

We were told to say, "at just £365 it works out at just a Pound a day for Total Peace of Mind".

I charge £199 for a Comprehensive one Year RAC used car Warranty and just another £100 for the second year, Now That's Value!

My Warranty also covers Blown Head Gaskets and Catalytic Convertors, they didn't cover those items within the aforementioned Dealership Warranty!

Pre christmas used car bargains

I have so many great used car deals at the moment that I hope that you can get here before they are all gone.

I have a chap coming all the way from Coventry tomorrow to look at one of my used cars, I don't know if I like the idea of sending one of my cars to Coventry, I mean what have they ever done to me?

I buy some really nice cars, I take my time about selecting only the best models, specs and types as a result of which I am often sad to see them go, or maybe I'm just Sad!

Becoming attached to an inanimate object which only comes to life when you feed it and turn it on. (Sounds like my Wife)

Anyway I am looking forward to a very busy Weekend, I have had four people make appointments to come and look at my cars, that normally means four happy people and more work for me next week trying to fill up those spaces again!

I will be updating my used car website again this evening, so no rest for the afflicted (Petrol head)

I am also listed on e-bay motors, auto trader, fish4cars, click cars and several others that I can't recall.

I have to ask people now where they have seen me so that I can spend the advertising budget wisely.

Budget, now that's a word that people don't have to worry about so much when they come to me as all my used cars are sold at amazingly affordable prices.

good value used cars

Here we are again in December, allegedly the quietest month in used car sales, I happen to disagree with that.

There are thousands of used car sales executives up and down the country right now telling each other that this is the king of the quiet months, thinking that they might as well use up their saved holiday time due.

The market is full of savvy consumers who are well aware that when the new year strikes all the prices go up as buyers flood back to the forecourts, so now is the time to Buy, Buy ,Buy.

Because the new cars have not been selling, people have been turning instead to the used car market for the very best value deals, how dumb to pay VAT and then face the depreciation of £1000 to £3,000 in the first 3-4 months, it's a no brainer to me.

I have only ever bought one new car, in my naivity I thought that I would change it every 18 months for another new one, the theory being that I would not lose so much money!

Shreeekkkhh and screeeaaammm, how much did you say my car is worth, my low mileage, immaculate, well cared for car that I only bought new just over a year ago!!!!

And that was the end of my used car buying days.

I have been selling used cars now for over 20 years, believe me I wouldn't swap for selling new cars as I need to sleep nights.

My cars are still selling very well, I had a bit of a flurry and cleared out most of my stock, I am in the midst of re-stocking and will be up and ready again for the next bus load of bargain hunters, I have a winter policy, I stack them high and sell them at unbelievable prices.

Two of my customers this month have asked on the phone what's wrong with it? Why so cheap?
It's not Rocket Science, provide great value quality used cars and people will come to buy!

I would like to Thank two of my customers who have this month, shortly after taking delivery of their cars from me, taken the trouble to call me to tell me how happy they were with my service, it really is the icing on the cake when people do that.

used car madness

I have changed my pricing structure of my used cars, now instead of £4975 I will now be like marks and spencer and round it up to £5000, I will then take the £25 off as a discount.

I am finding that my phones went a bit quiet, I couldn't figure it out, I changed my used car prices to the above and off they went again.

I have had multiple calls on the same cars, every call seems to follow the same format, what's your best price?

I don't haggle because all of the used cars that I sell are hand picked by me, they are valeted, serviced and have a three month Warranty and mats all included in the price.

Like the people that buy used cars from me, I have to make a living, I have a photo wall, not a board a Whole Wall with people that have bought their cars from me and are very happy, their smiles say it all.

I have had comments like, "We found another one, it was older not as good spec and more miles for much more money" I have had people asking me before they come to view, "What's wrong with it?"

When you buy from me quite simply, I just offer great used car deals, I'm not Greedy and I seldom have a used car in stock for longer than two weeks.

I get nearly 150 e-mails per day offering me cars for sale, sometimes I go 3-4 days without buying anything, sure I make phone calls and send e-mails but if the descriptions don't meet my exacting standards then the answer is always "NO"

When I get the cars they then go through my own extensive preparation system, I have my own Senior Technician and time served (Ex Bodyshop) Valeter, between us all we then produce what you are presented with when you arrive to see the end product.

Very few people arrive and leave without leaving me a deposit.

Suspicion can be a deciding factor that can stop people from buying a car, all of my cars are HPI checked and most have Full Service History, I do not buy accident repaired or damaged cars and avoid the Auctions like the Plague.

If you are looking for a bargain and a great Quality Used Car then make me your preferred choice.

I am located in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, I have sold cars to people as far away as Scotland, Devon, Somerset, Yorkshire and Wales to name a bit few.

The Sweaty Socks know a bargain when they see one, the chap flew in from Glasgow to Luton and I collected him from the Airport, he wasn't going away empty handed was he!

Seriously, if it's not on my website I can find it, I may take up to a week but you will save monster loads of cash buying from me, I usually ask people to look around first so that they have an objective picture when they approach me.

used car sales through the recession.

I know that we are supposedly in the midst of a massive recession and the sale therefore of used cars is supposed to have hit an all time low, so when is somebody going to tell the general public that they shouldn't be buying used cars.

I have had a monster week, I am so low on used cars at the moment that I have been panic buying and still offering the best used car sales deals going.

I have had an avalanche of calls for the new shape focus 55 plates that I have been selling at just £4,975 and mental activity for the new shape 7 seater zafira 55 plates for the same money.

If I could get another 10 of each for the same money then I would be buying them, however as in the past whenever an incredible used car deal has come along, demand outstrips supply.

Used cars for haloween

I wonder how many people are cursing this morning as they had to not only scrape the ice off their car but the flour and egg too.

You should have given the witches and ghouls an offering, (Treat) then they wouldn't have given your car a pancake mix shower,(Trick).

But seriously how many of you have gone out this morning to a car that churned over but didn't start!

used car tricks and tips

For those of you that didn't spot it, the last line of my last post was a joke!

I am not really the Author of "Tips on how to beat the Salesperson at their own game"

I don't even know if there is a book of that name, I was just re-inforcing the general idea that if you are nice to the salesperson then it makes for a better atmosphere when you go in to try to buy your next car.

Used car sales people are a funny, quirky, extrovert crowd, they all have their funny ways and mannerisms, befriend them and you will get maximum respect and the very best deal.

I know because I am talking from 20 years experience.

Good luck when searching for your next used car, come to me and get the very best deal on any of my used cars, I can do this because I know what you want and how to give it to you.

Used cars at a fair price!

Used cars can be an emotive subject, especially when a couple come in looking and they both have different ideas of what they each want, it can be quite amusing as they each try to manipulate the sales person to being on their side, neither realising that as soon as he makes a choice he will be damned as the only loser.

The lady wants the sporty one in that wonderful colour, the guy wants the larger than life car with the shiny alloys, they can each have their choice if they come to me as the money they will save on my used car deals will give them the flexibility to change both, then everyone becomes a Winner.

One tip for you when looking at cars, be nice to the sales person, also be honest with them, people complain about salespeople hounding them on the phone, they are doing that because they have a big nasty boss telling them that they should and also because the last thing you said to them was, "Ok we will think about it and let you know".

Some people also start a conversation with a sales person by saying, "I am not wasting your time" often a sales person will take everything you say to them as meaning the opposite"

For example, "we will think about", means, we are not interested and you will never see us again!

"Thanks very much for your time", means, we are glad to be getting out of here without spending anything and you will never see us again!

"It's a lovely car but we have a few more to look at", means, we don't like it and you will never see us again!

As seasoned sales professionals they would rather hear, "Thanks we are going to leave it". They can then get on with their job with somebody that may actually be able to help them pay their bills next month, rather than hounding you on the phone for the next two weeks, which is a waste of everybodys time.

Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself, have the courage to say "No"

Sorry to go on a bit, I am sure that you would rather have an idea of the salespersons psyche, thus enabling you to see what makes them tick, this will ultimately help you to get the best used car deal that you possibly can.

Used car sales in aylesbury have quietened down a bit quiet at the moment, could this be the result of the credit crunch? the looming recession?

Or rather the greedy dealers still not realising that in order to do business with the people that are still looking to buy used cars at the moment, they have to get out of the habits that were bred into them when the times were good.

Nobody wants to be ripped off when they are trying to buy a used car, everybody wants to think that they have had the very best used car deal and that's where I am different.

I was speaking to my wife yesterday about the used car industry as a whole, I told her that I don't pay any less for my cars than the dealers do, however when I sell them I offer all the same facilities.

I give a Free warranty, I service the car, MOT it, valet it, tax it, put fuel in and deal with all the horrible paperwork, Not only that but I charge a whole lot less than they do!

I do not have their overheads nor their roadside premises, glad I am of that, nearly all of my customers make appointments first, coming in then to see the car that they are interested in buying.

Nobody likes to have their time wasted, not customers, not me, when you come to see my car it will be the best of its kind that you will see, my used cars are prepared to a high standard, well serviced, well valeted and well worth the money.

When I first got into Sales over 20 years ago a much respected trainer said to me, "Remember that we are all Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen".

I have come up with my own saying over the years, "We all come into this World the same way and we will all go out the same way and in between we all breathe the same air".

Remember when you are looking for that illusive and super used car deal, always be nice to the person serving you, if you are a nightmare before the sale, they will not suprisingly expect the same after the sale, maybe then not being so inclined to go the extra mile for you.

Remember, you reap what you sow and what comes around goes around, treat others as you would like to be treated yourself; Adopt this honourable scruple and you won't go far wrong in life, I promise you that this is the manner that I adopt in my business.

I haven't been able to post any comments for a bit because my account was disabled.

Maybe one of those other used car dealers that have seen a decline in their business due to me having the best value used car deals on the internet, have nobbled me!

I have sold so many cars since my last blog that I have been very busy buying, it is a hard task because I don't buy from auctions or any other dubious means.

I only buy my quality used cars from dealers leasing companies and other reliable trade sources.

I have seen a car that I took in as a part exchange being sold on another dealers forecourt, I sent it to the Auction because I don't sell accident damaged or repaired used cars and this was both of those!

I was gobsmacked because he actually states on his website that he welcomes any inspection! I think that he had his rose tinted spectacles on when he bought that one, "Caveat Emptor" my Friend, can't say where it is other than it's in Aylesbury and it's a Clio!

I will be posting every day now so that my quality used car deals are there for all to see.

Used cars, gone in 60 seconds!

I must have got this one wrong, you know when something happens and you think I wish I'd done this or that instead, well when I advertise a used car at a bargain price and 4 people call one after the other I think just that.

Normally I would say that my bad luck is somebody elses good fortune, but this is the way that I choose to run my online used car sales business, "stack em high and blow them out the door", I don't have any of my used cars in stock for longer that 3-4 weeks.

My bank manager is happy and so are my customers, the bills are being covered, nobody is getting rich but it's a hell of a hobby.

How many people get out of bed and look forward to another day at work.

I have been selling used cars now for the best part of 20 years, I hope that I have about that amount of time still left to carry on doing just that, and they call this work!

Used cars at a fair price!




I have had an amazing day today, my road signs are serving me well, two more down and a lot of the month still left to go to squeeze a few more used car deals in.


I positioned three signs at one roundabout, the response has amazed me, they have certainly paid thier way many times over.


All they have on them is, "acar2go buy your next used car online here" and a directional arrow, I have shown them here in the photos.
It just goes to show that people will come here for their used car bargain, one of them went off to shop elsewhere, he was back within an hour complaining about the used car dealers attitudes and outrageous prices.
Chalk another one up to me, Thanks to the Greedy and unrealistic uaed car dealers.

used cars under cover. (Private eye)






I have enclosed here some photos of my new unit and stock, some of them are already Sold as when you are looking for an absolute peach of a used car deal you come to me.


I so Love this job, you don't need any qualifications just the ability to interact at all levels, my customers are sooo great that I find that an absolute doddle, I would like to be the used car King of Aylesbury but I have a way to go until I am there.


For now I will just enjoy what I am doing as I have done for the last 20 years, forget I.T. get into Sales it's a blast, since I started my online used car sales business I have enjoyed it even more, when I worked in used car Dealerships you wouldn't believe the amount of tyre kickers I used to have to put up with.


My used car business is designed so that I only have to see people by appointment, they are quality prospects, they know what they want, they have searched for used cars online and know that I am presenting the very best used car deals on the internet.


They almost all come in with the opinion that there must be something wrong with my cars, one chap rang me and said "why is it so cheap, what's wrong with it" you know who you are Mr Farley, he drove from Bexley, not a short journey!! and bought the car after a test drive and thorough inspection.


This is not a made up story, he wrote me a lovely letter on behalf of him and his wife, I have that letter proudly displayed on the wall in my office, when you come to see me I will be happy to let you read it, he even put a photo in the letter.


I would also like to Thank Mrs Rigas for the lovely testimonial that she posted on my google entry, if you use google as a search engine and type in "acar2go" you will find what she wrote, it was super, she even called me a Gentleman.

I have been so busy today that I haven't had time to update my blog page, signing cars in, organising the servicing work and valeting, getting the adverts in on time, and finally putting up my acar2go used car sales signs around and about Town to help drive even more people through the door.

The new unit has had some super reactions from the last few people through the door, I will get some photos put on my blog page tomorrow so that you can see what all the fuss is about.

I get plenty of calls but a lot of the time people are just too late, because I have a lot of really brilliantly priced used car deals they tend to go quite quickly, if you are looking for a great used car sales bargain then be aware that so are other people and if they get there first then you have lost out.

I take viewings on a first come first served basis and then only by appointment, on Monday I had three calls on the same car, the first caller obviously realised that the car was very well priced and left a deposit, this was a good blocking tactic and secured the car until he got to see it, this peed the other two off but was a good move on this occasion as when he drove the car he loved it and is taking it next monday.

There is a Moral to this story, "The car that you saw today and may buy tomorrow, somebody else saw yesterday and will buy it today" so get your commitment straight and leave a deposit.

It's a bit like that In the motor trade, all the £1,000 off, minimum part exchange offer, this deal only available today type of headlines!

Best used car deals in the South East source GMTV

"Breaking News" the iMotoring magazine has stated that the best used car sales deals in the whole of the country can be had in the South East, they must have been talking about my website, www.acar2go.co.uk

As the only story that seems to be getting any media coverage (apart from Gordon Brown) is the Money market, Lehman Brothers, Thanks a bunch! Used car sales in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire seems to be booming, or at least at acar2go.

I have had my latest google report and it confirms what I already know, that my online car sales business is indeed booming, even when there is a downturn, people still have to buy the essentials and cars are still listed under that heading.

One of my straplines is, If you need acar2go to go out, acar2go to work, or acar2go home then you need "acar2go"

I have had a 200% increase in people logging onto my website www.acar2go.co.uk this in turn generates an influx of phone calls, which because of my incredible used car deals are being converted easily into used car sales.

Thanks to Tania who woke me up this morning with my earliest sales call yet, I suppose that's what you do when you work nights, I look forward to seeing you at 09:00 to test drive the Kia Carens Diesel, another great used car deal that made her call me so early because she didn't want to miss it!

used car sales monday madness.

What a super day in my used car sales operation, after a blazing weekend you kind of expect a bit of a lull on Monday, but the sales just kept coming.

A Vauxhall dealer from Essex bought one of my cars, (no doubt to sell on at a much higher price than I had it up for sale at) if only his customer had found my car on the internet then he could have had a much better deal!

Also big Thanks to Adam & Tracey from Yeovil in Somerset who travelled for over three hours to buy my car, which incidentally was over £1,000 cheaper than the same car in their local used car network Q vauxhall dealer, Mine also had cruise control as an optional extra and none of the scratches on the bodywork and scrapes on the alloys as the network Q car!!

When the stock markets crash, people look for a safe haven for their money, when the belts are tightened people look even harder for that elusive bargain, if you are looking for a used car with the word bargain attached then you simply have to come to me.

The reason that some will fall and some won't could be the use of tactics and changes in behaviour, if the dealers don't wise up and start selling their cars more fairly or competively to the general public then people like me will always rise above them.

used car sales on e-bay motors

I cannot believe how many used car enquiries I am getting from e-bay motors, I signed up to the online car sales agreement with them and have no end of phone calls.

People from all over the country, the Geographics are very encouraging, I had two calls on the same car from Glasgow, totally unrelated and co-incidental.

What a good day it was on Sunday for selling a used convertible, not that I have any at the moment as the season has hardly encouraged the sale of this kind of car, but it was nice to see that yellow obelisk popping its head out for a bit.

I am grateful for all those online used car sales junkies that looked me up again, I did a fair few test drives over the weekend, some people just have to be a bit more realistic about their part exchange vehicle price, my thanks to those that did leave me their deposits on the cars of their choice.

A special Thanks to Chris and Vanessa who whilst searching for the used car of their choice, spotted my photograph and recognised me from when I used to work in Slough, I actually sold them their last two used cars, a used Mazda 121 and a used Focus, this time around they have gone for a used Kia Carens and a used Vauxhall Corsa.

Another great used car sales selling weekend, Thanks very much and long may it continue.

Now I have to find yet another batch of cracking used cars to sell, as I have said often in the past, Selling them is the easy bit, finding the right cars at the right price is a whole lot harder.

Good morning Aylesbury.

Well I have had to make the decision and it wasn't taken lightly to move my online used car sales business to new premises, I am moving into a bigger unit on the same Farm, I can get three times the amount of used cars that I have now.

It is safer and more secure, I never thought that my online used car sales business would pick up so well so fast, to think that a lot of main dealers spend 5 figures every month on advertising in the local press, etc, all I do is put my cars on e-bay motors, google, fish4cars, click for cars and my own website and the phones go into double figure rings every day.

I will keep it short today because I have another 4 cars arriving any time now and that creates a serious amount of admin, valeting, servicing, touching up, MOT, etc, etc

I thought that working for yourself was supposed to give you more quality time at the golf course, don't you believe it!

I buy my used cars at the right price and sell them with a small margin, nobody gets rich but I only want to make a living and pay the bills, it's not rocket science and the customer is the winner, it's a great system and is a killer punch for the dealers.

All of my cars are in very good condition, I service, MOT, valet and give Warranty on them so the customer really is the winner.
